Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, today announces the YamahaOutdoor Access Initiative (OAI) and the Recreate Responsibly Coalition (RRC)established a strategic partnership to spreadawareness of the need forlandstewardship among all types of visitors to public lands. By promotingresponsible recreation practices and the safe and sustainable use of trails, the partnership works to further the aligned missionsof both organizations. Apriority for thecollaboration is to increase awareness of the availability offunding and support for public land access projects through the Yamaha OAI. The pandemic madegetting outdoors a priority for more people than ever before, putting pressureon the maintenance of public land to ensure everyone’s safety. Without action, public lands can become unsustainable, and accesslimited. TheYamaha OAI andRecreate Responsibly believe everyone has a responsibility to sustain theoutdoor spaces we enjoy and can contribute by understanding their potentialimpacts in natural spaces and surroundingcommunities.

“Public lands are America’s gateway to fun andadventure in the great outdoors. Visitors play an important role in theirprotection and preservation. Recreate Responsibly and the Yamaha Outdoor AccessInitiative are workingtogether to educate andraise awareness of responsibleuse of trails and open spaces for motorized and outdoor recreation,” said SteveNessl, Yamaha’s Motorsports marketing manager. “The Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiativewas created specifically to help those who seethe need to protect or expandaccess to public land and need some support to get it done. By working withRecreate Responsibly, we hope more people take advantage of ourresources byapplying for a grant.”

Part of thecollaborative effort will raise funds for the Recreate Responsibly Coalition tobolster its focus on safe, accessible, inclusive, and responsible outdoorrecreation.
